Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Welcome to Egypt! Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, our representative will meet you and assist you with all customs formalities before escorting you in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel. After check-in, you’ll have time to relax after your journey or explore the surrounding area at your own pace.
Day 2: Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara and Memphis
Your exciting exploration of ancient Egypt’s history begins. Accompanied by a private guide, you’ll travel to the Giza Plateau to see the legendary Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. Marvel at the Great Pyramid, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and visit the enigmatic Sphinx, which has guarded the pyramids for thousands of years.
Next, visit the Valley Temple of Khafre, where mummification rituals were performed. Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Saqqara to see the iconic Step Pyramid of Djoser, the first large stone structure ever built. End the day with a visit to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, and admire the colossal statue of Ramses II.
Return to your hotel in Cairo to relax in the evening.
Day 3: Grand Egyptian Museum, Citadel of Cairo and Khan Al-Khalili
Embarking on a cultural and historical tour of Cairo.
The first stop is the Grand Egyptian Museum, where you will discover an extensive collection of Egypt’s most prized treasures, including the complete set of belongings of Tutankhamun.
After exploring the museum, enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant. Then, head to the historic Citadel of Cairo, a medieval fortress built by Saladin in the 12th century.
Admire the stunning views of the city and visit the majestic Mohamed Ali Mosque, an architectural gem known for its grand domes and ornate interior.
End your day with a stroll through the Khan Al-Khalili bazaar, a lively market filled with colorful stalls selling spices, souvenirs, jewelry, and traditional handicrafts. After soaking up the vibrant atmosphere, return to your hotel to relax.
Day 4: Day trip to Alexandria
Travel to the coastal city of Alexandria in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. This city, founded by Alexander the Great, is steeped in history and culture. The first stop is the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a fascinating underground necropolis that blends Egyptian, Greek, and Roman architectural elements.
Next, visit Pompey’s Column, an imposing Roman triumphal column carved from red granite from Aswan.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the Citadel of Qaitbay, a 15th-century fortress built on the site of the legendary Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Finally, explore the modern Library of Alexandria, an amazing architectural feat that houses millions of books and cultural exhibits.
After a full day of sightseeing, return to Cairo and check in to your hotel.
Day 5: Tour of Luxor’s East Shore
Transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes. Upon arrival, explore the east bank of the Nile, starting with the Temple of Karnak, the largest temple complex in Egypt.
Stroll through the Hypostyle Hall with its enormous columns and marvel at the sacred lake and the obelisks.
Next, visit Luxor Temple, a beautifully preserved monument built by Amenhotep III and expanded by Ramses II. Admire the grand statues of Ramses II and the Avenue of Sphinxes that once connected the temples of Luxor and Karnak.
After the tour, embark on your hotel, where you will enjoy lunch, dinner and a relaxing night.
Day 6: West Bank of Luxor and sailing towards Edfu
Head to Luxor’s west bank to explore some of Egypt’s most iconic ancient sites. Begin in the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of the pharaohs, including the famous Tutankhamun.
Next, visit the impressive Temple of Hatshepsut, a unique mortuary temple dedicated to Egypt’s most powerful female pharaoh. End your morning with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues of Amenhotep III.
Return to the hotel for lunch. Enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening on board.
Day 7: Temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo
Embark to visit the Temple of Edfu, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Admire its high walls and intricate reliefs depicting ancient myths and battles.
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo, where you’ll explore the unique double temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. Learn about the ancient rituals performed here and see the mummified crocodiles on display.
Return to the hotel for lunch. Enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening on board.
Day 8: Tour of Aswan and flight to Cairo
First, see the Aswan High Dam, an engineering marvel that controls the flow of the Nile and created Lake Nasser.
Next, visit the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, which was moved to Agilkia Island to protect it from flooding.
Next, explore the Unfinished Obelisk, a huge monument abandoned due to cracks in the stone, which offers an insight into the stonework of ancient Egypt.
After the tour, transfer to Aswan airport to catch your flight back to Cairo, where you will check in to your hotel and enjoy your last night in Egypt.
Day 9: Departure from Cairo
Our representative will assist you with your transfer to Cairo International Airport for your return flight. Take with you unforgettable memories of Egypt’s ancient wonders, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality.
